Gorazd Popov

GORO is a boundary-pushing artist reshaping the sound of the Balkan underground, fusing Chalga, Tallava, and Manele with global club genres like techno, gabber, and Jersey club into a raw, high-energy hybrid. He started out in Berlin's Deconstructed Club Music scene, playing CTM Festival at Berghain with support from artists like VTSS and NAAFI. In 2019, he returned to Sofia and founded Zabranena Muzika ("Forbidden Music"), a party and label that reframed regional sounds for a club context.
