Michael Petychankis

CTO, Orfium

Michael Petychankis is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Orfium, the global technology leader solving the entertainment industry’s biggest challenges around digital music and broadcast rights management. As CTO, he oversees the Athens-based, c. 220-strong technology team in their research and product development efforts, as well as shaping the company’s technology and AI strategy. With a background steeped in AI experience, he is Orfium’s most informed and passionate spokesperson on the topic, while also acting as a mentor to a number of startups in the sphere. 

Previously the company’s General Manager in Greece, Michael still carries the same outward-facing philosophy in his role as CTO. Prior to his time at Orfium, Michael was involved in numerous research projects related to artificial intelligence, robotics, and future versions of the world wide web, after graduating from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.
