Daryl Fidelak
LAMPSHADE MEDIA / RUNDA / SERBIA
Daryl Fidelak has been active in the intellectual property, music, and broadcast industries for over 25 years. Starting out in Canada by supporting local bands and writing for an indie music magazine, Daryl moved on to run a Polish label and distribution company in the 1990s. He has worked extensively in music and entertainment-focused media across Central and Southern Europe, including roles with UPC's Wizja Jeden, the Extreme Sports Channel, and Viacom's Comedy Central, MTV, VH1 Poland, and VIVA. More recently, Daryl served as the CEO of MTV Adria.
Currently, Daryl is the owner of Lampshade Media, a regional music label dedicated to artist development, brand aesthetics, and intellectual property rights. He is also a partner at Sauté Productions, a TV and film production company known for its flavor-infused content. Alongside his wife Marija, a Belgrade-based music journalist, Daryl co-hosts a cooking and talk show on Kitchen TV, where they feature a mix of Belgrade-based expats and figures from the ex-Yu music industry, including musicians, DJs, producers, record label executives, and writers.
In addition to his media and music ventures, Daryl occasionally does voice-over work for film and TV and takes on acting roles. He is actively involved with RUNDA, the regional association of independent music producers in the Adria region, a daughter association of IMPALA (Independent Music Companies and National Trade Associations of Europe). Daryl sits on the PR committee and provides support to the Chair as needed.
