Ana Everling is a vocalist and storyteller blending Eastern European traditions with improvisation, vocal looping and electronic textures. Her work revives censored regional repertoires and champions the Doina, an endangered improvisational genre. Awarded Moldova’s Artist Emerit title for representing its culture abroad, she has performed at Folk Alliance International, SXSW, Lincoln Center and Chicago Symphony Center. Her vinyl release Pui de Dor featured on a Putumayo World Music compilation.
