Sean Adams is the founder of Drowned in Sound (drownedinsound.org), a pioneering music publication, podcast, community, and record label. Since 2000, DiS has championed artists while embracing digital innovation, launching one of the first music podcasts back in 2005.
Sean has worked in record shops, promoted 100s of shows from artists ranging from Kano to Foals, and worked with or released a range of artists including Kaiser Chiefs, Bat for Lashes and Max Richter. He currently manages musicians including Charlotte Church and The Anchoress, alongside consulting for music tech start-ups such as Catalog and Endlesss.
As a columnist for The Sunday Times, digital producer for BBC Radio 6 Music, and lecturer, Sean is passionate about the intersection of music, technology, and live experiences, while advocating for a fairer, more equitable and planet-friendly music industry.
