Ruben Jonas Schnell is a journalist, cultural entrepreneur, and the founder and managing director of ByteFM, an independent music radio station based in Hamburg. With a background in music journalism for major public radio broadcasters, he launched ByteFM in 2008 to create a platform for curated music and in-depth cultural reporting beyond mainstream formats.

Under his leadership, ByteFM has received numerous awards, including the Grimme Online Award and the GEMA Radio Culture Prize, and has become a vital voice in Germany’s independent music scene.
