Patrick Gerner – Owner of the digital music distribution company BSMV, and the labels "Besser-Samstag" & "Chill Better Daily", as well as the Coffee-Brand “Besser-Samstag Café”

Since I started recording, mixing, and mastering musicians back in 2011, I haven’t stopped working with music, listening to it, or thinking about it. Guided by the mindset, “If there’s no space for me, I’ll create one myself,” I invested a lot of time in event planning, execution and self-distribution.

Along the way, I completed countless mixing and mastering jobs, played well over 150 concerts as a musician, and after working for three years as a lead label manager at a German indie label, I truly felt like I had arrived in the industry.
And then I quit.

Of course I somehow started over – and this is how:

Some facts about me today:
• Professional Independent-Music Industry since 2017
• 2020 founded the digital music distribution company BS-MV (BS Musikvertriebs UG)
We have an approach where we work closely with the labelmanagers to professionalize independent actors and create opportunities within our network.
• Managing several Musiclabel imrpints e. G. Besser-Samstag
• Opened 2025 a Coffee & Recordstore in Wiesbaden (GER) with its own Coffee-Brand.
• VUT-Mitte regional council since 2025 (The Association of Independent Musicians and Music Companies)

Past Highlights:
• Supported over 150 vinyl releases
• Managed over 8,000 digital releases — from strategy development to launch
• In 2020 I Founded a culture-magazine for Wiesbaden & Mainz (GER)
• In 2022 I attented Kick-Jazz in Vienna (AT) as workshop leader for self-distribution & marketing.
• Co-Kickstarted in 2023 with OHA! Music the regular musicbusiness meeting “Beats & Business” in Hamburg (GER)
