Manfred Tari writes articles for music media such as ESNS-Exchange.eu, musikwoche.de or Infield.live. Additional he chairs and hosts panels for events like ESNS, Festival Playground or Reeperbahn Festival. He has been working in the music industry since 1987, first as a booker for the FZW concert club (1984-1989) in Dortmund, and later as a founding member of the music fair Popkomm in Cologne from 1989 to 1998. Subsequently, he worked as a freelance journalist for magazines such as pollstar.com, musikmarkt.de, Music & Copyright, Vip-News or Intro Festival Guide and in the conference team of Popkomm in Berlin. Since 2009 he has been working in the same position for the conference editorial team of Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg. In 2021 he founded and developed the conference format Parliament of Pop. Designed as a travelling event and dedicated towards political topics, this event meanwhile have been staged at various music conferences such as Westway Lab, Eurosonic Noorderslag, Popkomm and Reeperbahn Festival.
