Jonathan Nixdorff is the co-founder of the Berlin-based boutique label Kommerz Records, which focuses on emerging local talent experimenting at the intersection of jazz, R&B, and electronic music. He runs the business together with his brother Lukas and also manages hip-hop producers Bluestaeb and S. Fidelity, in addition to operating the lo-fi beats label Hosted by_. Alongside their cousin Anton Pfurtscheller, founder of Sichtexot, they co-founded the publisher Zahlbach, which works with producers such as Wun Two, Bluestaeb, and FloFilz, and is administered by Kobalt. Jonathan Nixdorff has a background in music journalism and, until 2017, served as editor-in-chief of the media outlets of Germany's largest hip-hop festival, splash!.
