Clare is a senior Partner Engineer at YouTube Music, where she currently leads engineering efforts for key independent music labels across EMEA. As an integral part of the Music Labels Partner Engineering team, Clare ensures the seamless technical integration of label partners, overseeing critical functions such as DDEX delivery, API management, and reporting.

In addition to her core responsibilities, Clare plays a vital role in high-level projects within YouTube, acting as a dedicated advocate for label partners. She brings a crucial stakeholder perspective to project discussions and implementations, ensuring the needs and priorities of partners are represented throughout the development lifecycle.

Prior to joining YouTube, Clare spent six years honing her skills as a Software Engineer at various software development companies in South Africa. This diverse experience provided her with invaluable insights into various software engineering methodologies and best practices, contributing to her well-rounded expertise.
