Celine Cairo

Artist, Ivy Records Amsterdam

Netherlands

Known for her emotionally disarming sound, Amsterdam-native singer/songwriter Celine Cairo blends introspective indie-folk with ethereal, spacious chamber pop. With well over 40 million streams, her music has reached far beyond the Netherlands, appearing in international playlists and U.S. shows such as Love, Victor, Walker, Texas Ranger and Ava DuVernay’s Queen Sugar.

Her 2013 debut EP was produced by Fin Greenall (Fink), who mentored her early songwriting and helped shape her first steps into the industry. Her debut album Free Fall, recorded in Los Angeles with Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson), introduced a sonic world where '80s-inspired synths and pulsing drums intertwined with acoustic tracks like her streaming hit Hibernate, which surpassed 15M streams this year. Her second album Overflow (2021) marked a more organic shift, with several songs co-produced in London with Tim Bran (London Grammar, HAEVN, Birdy).

Having performed in iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Royal Concertgebouw and Paradiso, Cairo brings both quiet intimacy and sweeping intensity to the stage, inviting human connection, dignity, and self-compassion. She carved out her own corner of the musical landscape somewhere between London Grammar’s moody trip-hop, AURORA's whimsical pop and Ben Howard's organic indie-folk. Rooted in stillness, evolving relationships and our place in the natural world, Celine creates a space where listeners can let go and immerse themselves in wider spheres.
