The SoAlive Music Video Awards return in 2025 with a bold proposition: one artist from Southeast Europe will receive the chance to create a brand-new music video, fully produced in Bulgaria with a professional director, crew, and technical support. It’s not a grant, not a competition for prestige — but an invitation to reimagine your sound in cinematic form, with some of the region’s most exciting visual storytellers behind the lens.

The Prize

The selected artist will collaborate with one of three Bulgarian acclaimed directors!

Production is backed by Magic Shop (camera, lights, and studio equipment) with full creative development and editing provided by Sturshel Productions. Accommodation and catering in Sofia during the shoot are covered by SoAlive Music Conference.

What isn’t included? Wardrobe, props, post production, additional crew, locations, travel or transport to Sofia remain the artist’s responsibility. The team will help keep these costs minimal, but they must be covered by the artist.

Eligibility & Conditions

• Artists must be based in one of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey.
• You must be 18+ and the rights holder of the music you submit.
• Each artist may apply with only one music video, released between 1 March 2024 and 1 September 2025.
• If you were nominated in the 2024 edition, you are not eligible this year.
• A second application is only possible if it’s for a collaboration song with another artist.
• By applying, artists agree to the use of their submitted video for the promotion of the awards.

What to send in the application

• Completed application form (all fields filled in).
• Link to the music video (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) - make sure this is unlocked link.

Key Dates

• Deadline to apply: 20 September 2025
• Winner announced: 17 October 2025
• Production period: November–December 2025
• Public showcase: October 2026, on the SoAlive Main Stage

Why Apply?

The SoAlive Music Video Awards are more than a competition — they’re an experiment in collaboration between emerging artists and visionary filmmakers. The winning artist will gain a fully produced video, exposure to leading industry figures at SoAlive Music Conference, and a showcase moment in front of an international audience next year.

What's in the prize?

• Full video production service from Sturshel Productions, Sofia based production house.
• The winner will receive a list of three (local) Bulgarian directors, represented by Sturshel Productions, to choose from.
• Technical support by Magic Shop (camera, lights, and studio gear).
• Creative development Sturshel Productions.
• On-site accommodation and catering in Sofia during production (covered by SAMC).

What’s NOT Covered?

The selected artist must cover basic production-related expenses (such as crew, wardrobe, props, post-production, additional crew, locations, extra travel if required, and transport to Sofia). The production team will assist in keeping those costs minimal.
