David Fricke is a music journalist and broadcaster. He was a staff writer at Rolling Stone for three decades and now contributes to MOJO and other publications. He is a four-time winner of the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award for excellence in music journalism and is a Grammy-nominated writer of album liner notes, contributing essays to more than 100 major reissues including box sets by the Velvet Underground, the Byrds, Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones. Since 2015, he has been the host of The Writer's Block, a weekly show on Sirius XM Radio and conducted major interviews for the network with Metallica, Neil Young, Keith Richards and Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant, among many others.
